Mazdutide is a dual GLP-1 / glucagon receptor agonist in clinical development for diabetes and obesity.

Proposed mechanism

It combines GLP-1 agonism (satiety, glucose control) with glucagon-receptor agonism (energy expenditure) — the same twin-pathway logic behind retatrutide, minus the GIP arm.1
